Welcome to my web page.
Currently I am working as a policy analyst at Employment and Social Development Canada. In the meantime, I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Economics, University of Ottawa, Canada.

My research interests include Health Economics, Labour Economics, Industrial Organization and Applied Econometrics. My current empirical research mainly focuses on evolution of income/health inequality and impact of oil price shock on aggregate output and employment. I am actively exploring the use of cutting-edge machine learning (AI) techniques in different areas of economics, specially in topics related to evaluation and effectiveness of Canada’s employment insurance program.

I have completed my M.A. in Economics from Mcmaster University and also did my masters and honours, secured 1st class with 1st position in both the examinations, with major in Economics from University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
